Kitchen Extension & Remodelling Project 2022

My client is an avid cook and loves entertaining family & friends with his culinary delights and was becoming frustrated with the lack of space in his kitchen to do that.  He had already decided a small extension to the existing kitchen was needed but the question was how to best use the space and give it a modern and functional feel whilst still being an amazing space to entertain.

We added a small extension in terms of depth to run the full width of the back of the house across the existing kitchen/ dining area & took out the exiting wall to give us one big, airy space which was created by roof lights in the new roof area and large picture windows & doors opening to the garden.  The units, to include 2 x ovens were placed along 1 & half walls allowing space for a large island to home the hob but also allowing enough space for food preparation.  2 sides of the island has bar stools to accommodate guests who can enjoy a drink & chat with the host whilst he’s preparing food.  A bar cupboard was built in the style of the kitchen units in the dining area which when open is lit with downlights and has space underneath for the family dogs, not to be forgotten.  A large dining table to seat 10 people with comfortable chairs, important for long lavish evenings.

Extension & Bathroom Renovation, Clapham


A major extension of a mews house in a lovely leafy street in Clapham. My clients had already agreed the structural layout of the kitchen extension & built a third-floor bedroom with ensuite shower into the roof.  As this was such a major build project they decided to also update the main bathroom as part of the interior project.  It was important to create a contemporary feel to the property without loosing the character & taking the age of the original part of the house into consideration.   As avid travellers & collectors of objet & art it was important to make sure the rooms were a showcase for all of those memories. A fabulous house to work with, along with wonderful clients.

Mediterranean Bathroom

I was commissioned last year to begin the transformation of a 4-bed family home in Northamptonshire.  We have started with the first floor as the ground floor is a larger project to include planning permission for an extension, kitchen & utility room re-fit later this year.  My client, who is Portuguese, wanted to evoke memories of home within the concept.  Simple pared back styling and colours that would have longevity and create a backdrop for some of the beautiful work her mother has painted of their village in Portugal along with other pieces she has collected over the years.  With 2 young children we needed a bathroom that would work for them but also double as a beautiful bathroom for guests to use too.  The existing family bathroom had a shower over bath, so I was tasked with getting a separate shower and bath in there for her 4yr old & 12yr old plus a double wash basin.  We achieved the final look by building a stud wall to lengthen the space we had to play with for the shower & bath & by choosing a 1600mm bath & 760mm shower tray we were able to fit both.  I designed a bespoke washstand which was  built by a superb local carpenter and finished with a marble top from a local company.  My client was delighted with the results.’
